Not only does it make your crew seem more life like, but each conversation now had a teaser to entice you to join in. It was also nice that your crew would actual speak with each other before you prompted them to.

Could that have been done with the dialogue wheels? Sure, but that's a plenty of resources to add for content that's just icing and for a game that had crunch issues and needed to delay its release date I'm more than fine with them doing this here to try and work on something else (whatever theyworking on being a better investment is a different discussion given the original ending but lol different topic all together). I think they thought the way ME3 did it was lazy when instead it created more avenues to have your squadmates actually comment on the very things you're doing. I agree whole-heartedly with you, but A LOT of people complained back when over having people talk at you instead of actually having dialogue that played in the dialogue wheel. the pointless repetitive dialogue wheels are back -_- WHY!?!?! Unfortunately I noticed in my brief playthrough of andromeda (I'll get back to it eventually maybe) the companions sometimes pop around the ship to chitchat with one another, but. Then having companions talk to each other, even have romances (Although if i'm being honest, that has never happened to me because I can not NOT romance Tali/Garrus) It makes the companions feel so much more alive and not just slaves who's entire lives revolve around the MC More RPGs need this for the companions, its such a pain having to open up a dialogue wheel, only to see they have nothing new to say.

I just had to say, the way ME3 has your companions not stand in one spot one the Normandy, talking with other companions, just saying 'sup' when they have nothing else to say. is the beautiful NO REPEATING DIALOGUE WHEEL when you talk to companions! None of that "Sup" "You've already asked me all these questions." "Later" I'm not talking about the dialogue, which is nice, what i'm talking about.
